LAME!

Our Hockey team got screwed by the refs last night. They didn't make an icing call and let play go on and about 30 seconds later we scored. Then they called icing took away our goal brought the face-off down in front of our net! The other team tied the game and later went on to win.

Not sure I would want the pressure of being a Ref but isn't being decisive rule #1 of being a Ref.
Here they are discussing the play...

Vasa Baby!

I really had my doubts about doing the Vasaloppet Sunday. I was really pumped for it in August when I signed up but up until race day I had only been on my skis twice for a total of less than 4 hours and each ski ended whith big blisters on my arches. With the Amo's offer to drive and the fact that I already paid for it and the conditions and weather looking to be good I went.

Last year I skied the 35ks in 2:15:57 so my goal for this year was a slow 2:30:00 and going in I felt it would be a tough goal to hit.

It took me about 1/2 of the 35k race to get comfortable on my skis part due to lack of time skiing and part due to my boots coming loose. I stopped 3 time to re-tighten my boots and the third time I pulled them as tight as I could and tied a big knot in the laces, it took me 15 minutes after the race to get my boots off.

I hit the 1/2 way point and really felt good. There was less traffic ahead of me and I was passing skiers instead of being passed (that always feels good). My boots were finally staying tight, although my left arch was burning, and as I looked at my watch I was supprised to see only 1:07 had elapsed so I pushed a little harder. The last 10k was a blur as I tried to focus on getting a good glide on each stride. I crossed the line in 2:15:23, 34 seconds faster than last year.

Thanks to Amos for driving, Stones for helping at the start and finish, my wife for letting me go on Valentines Day and the guys at Revolution cycle and ski for making my skis very fast.

A Wild B-Day

Saturday Tami, Brett and Andrea took me down to the Wild game against Phili, hit a couple bars before hand...

Found a Flyers fan to pummel, their captain none the less

Just like this guy would

Right after I took this picture he turned and glared right at me with the meanest look, I almost peed my pants. After the game a couple more bars and a midnight snack at Kincaid's, yum.

Proof

For you Non Believers here is proof of Tami and my horse shoe greatness... the losers...
and the winners.

Holy CRAP!

How would one manage to crap on the underside of the toilet seat!?
Needless to say I used a different bathroom.

Not Bad

I couldn’t believe when I stepped on our scale this morning and only gained five pounds last week. After 8 days of eating, drinking and laying around in Mexico I was sure I gained double digits.
We didn’t just do nothing, Tami and I won the resort horseshoe championship but I got drunk and passed out before we could receive our award so I don’t have the hardware to prove it. You’ll just have to believe me.

70's pics

If you want to see Pics from the 70's party you'll have to go to Kyia's or Houghton's blog. No pics of me though, thank god.

The 70's

Last night I loved the 70's, this morning not so much.

More later.

Sorry for any confusion.

Since there seemed to be some confusion on my last post I had our HR department modify the hand washing signs so someone doesn't get arrested if they come to our offices.

40 must be hitting you pretty hard.

Check it off!

A while ago at work our HR dept. put up these signs in the bathrooms to remind everyone how to wash their hands.

Today our HR manager was in the bathroom when I went in. When he was done he zipped up and walked out the door. Not even a rinse let alone lather, Rub and Rinse.
